Teaching Like A Pirate

As a cohort we decided to read Teach Like a Pirate by Dave Burgess
for our professional book club book.

We learned quite a few interesting and exciting techniques for getting our student's motivated.
Our mentor Karen went all out to make our inquiry motivating too.

We discussed the book and talked about implementing some of the "hooks" in our classroom. 

To help us remember all of them Karen made us each a Teacher Resource of Pirate Hooks.

I look forward to trying new hooks throughout this year and the years to come

because teaching like a pirate means I am a teacher who shows . . .
